I performed an Ernest Carlos soft shoe routine with my friend and tap mentor Karin Baker at Swing 46 in 2004. It was part of an evening of “tap gratitude” entitled “Because Of You...”, produced by Ray Hesselink. Here, Karin and I dance to Donald Johnston's beautiful piano arrangement of “I’m Old Fashioned”, celebrating the musical genius he was.

I co-choreographed the cast of Mary Poppins in the 2009 Easter Bonnet Competition along with fellow cast member Tony Mansker. It was called “What We Need Here Is A Tap Number!”, spoofing the possibility of putting splashy tap dancing into currently running musicals - however inappropriate - in order to keep them from ever closing.

Whenever I perform in a show, I like to remind myself that someone in the audience may be seeing their very first live performance, and someone may be seeing their last. This reminds me of how special it is to be an artist. Here, I am singing for my Grandmother's assisted living community in Louisiana. It was an honor to sing for them, and to feel their memories dance to every song.
